NSS Admin Mobile Application

The National Service Authority ("we," "us," or "our") operates the NSS Admin mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application designed for authorized administrators and consultants of the National Service Scheme in Ghana.

When you use the App, we may collect the following information:
- Account Credentials: Email address and password for authentication purposes
- Profile Information: Your name, role, phone number, and assigned region/district as registered in the NSS system
- Organizational Data: Information about user agencies, branches, and company details you access or update through the App
2. Information Collected Automatically
When you use the App, we automatically collect:
- Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and unique device identifiers
- Location Data: GPS coordinates when you use the location mapping feature to configure branch locations (only when you explicitly grant permission)
- Camera Access: Photos taken for branch photo documentation (only when you explicitly grant permission)
- Usage Data: App activity logs, session information, and interaction patterns for security and audit purposes
3. Permissions Required
The App requires the following device permissions:
- Camera: To capture photos of organization buildings for branch documentation
- Location: To map precise GPS coordinates for branch locations
- Internet: To communicate with our servers and sync data
- Storage: To temporarily store photos before upload
All permissions are optional and requested only when needed. You can deny permissions, though some features may not function without them.
How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
- Authentication: To verify your identity and authorize access to the App
- Service Delivery: To provide administrative features for managing user agencies, branches, and organizational data
- Location Services: To enable GPS mapping of branch locations for operational purposes
- Security & Auditing: To maintain activity logs, detect unauthorized access, and ensure compliance with NSS policies
- Communication: To send OTP codes for two-factor authentication and important service notifications
- Improvement: To analyze usage patterns and improve App performance and user experience
Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:
- Within NSS: With authorized National Service Secretariat personnel who require access for legitimate administrative purposes
- Service Providers: With trusted third-party service providers who assist in operating our infrastructure (e.g., cloud hosting, SMS services), bound by confidentiality agreements
- Legal Requirements: When required by law, court order, or government request
- Protection: To protect the rights, safety, and security of NSS, our users, or the public
